About Me

I am not your typical techie nerd. I don't game, I don't LARP, I am not into Magic, the Gathering or D&D. That is not to say that I don't nerd out on things. Very often I hear a word or string of words together that makes a song or movie quote pop into my head, and I just can't help myself from implementing that information verbally! I am into all things BBQ, I have just purchased my first competition type smoker and ready to season it in and get to smoking! I build my own rubs and have 3 different sauces that I hope to soon have in the public marketplace as opposed to selling out of the back of my truck!

I am a race fan. I am a KS Speedway season ticket holder and try to go to at least one NASCAR short track every year. For the past 17 years, my wife and I have made the trip to Bristol TN for at least the spring race. After making this trip several times, my wife and I decided to do the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Tours . I enjoy the history of this country and find it interesting to see how prohibition impacted this major industry in the United States.

Golf is another hobby of mine. Like most players, I wish were better, but it is a sport (or game depending on your perspective) that I can continue to share with my Dad, even in his retirement. I introduced my wife to the game as well, we enjoy the activity when we go on vacation, even to the point that for our anniversary, we have a golf focussed trip.

Through the discussion of my interests two things really show through, how important family is and my love of competition. While both are important, neither are reachable goals without a satisfying career. In my career focus I am goal oriented and results driven. A lot of times employees and coworkers get so caught up in what they are doing and forget about the world around them.I will always be happy to share my knowledge and experience to help mentor those who need it. Transversely, I am always willing to learn from those around me.
